The chief of GM Police goes but the person responsible for Budgetary management and Governance stays. Burnham throws the chief copper under the bus and walks away unscathed.

Are we going to get a lot of this whilst you’re stuck at home with nowhere to go :D

That’s not very kind is it. Poor Wire Quin has been thrown under the bus by his Tory pals. He is just angry and looking for people to take his anger out on. Please be more sympathetic to him as he is locked up in his house. Hopefully he has a nice view to look out the window at. Boris kept London open for 10 days so we could all give our Xmas up.

Anything but angry just glad that the Govt are willing to make tough decisions even at a sensitive time. No moaning about N/S divide, no complaints, local leaders not grandstanding asking for more money than Liverpool whilst the infection rate increases in the area, just recognising that we have a dangerous virus and we must get on with it.

MPs calling for Burnhams head. One offering him advice to tour Police stations rather than TV studios. Sounds about right.

Absolute nonsense.
Desperate to keep London "open" and now, everyone pays the price.

Back on topic, if failure to manage any government department is cause to lose your job, we'd be a PM and most of the Cabinet short.

PM
Chancellor
Home Secretary
Brexit Minister

All the above have failed badly.

Neither of you wanting to comment on Burnhams grandstanding and major failure to protect Manchester from crime or Covid.

Yes, Hopkins has gone and rightly so.
Should Burnham have resigned over this ? it's too early to tell but, probably not.

In the grand scheme of things Burnham, despite his many failings, is still out performing the PM, relatively speaking.
So, should Bojo resign. After all, his policies on covid have killed 10's of 1000's .

The list of his failings during his first 12 months at the helm outstrip ANY of his predecessors.
Covid has pushed Brexit off the front page but, the damage already being done to business, due to his usual "over selling" is an absolute scandal.
The situation at Britain's major ports is pure mayhem and this is before we end the negotiations, either with or without a deal.
His penchant for telling lies, is finally bringing the chickens hoe to roost.
Mismanagement of the nation on a huge scale but, he gets to stay ??

Bojo did a good job managing a 'town'. A country in a crisis is a different scale. Burnham is failing with the former.
