Well, we can all have 3 households round at Christmas but, it's probably going to kill some of us off as a result.
Bojo's 5 days of Christmas are likely to cause a huge rise in covid cases and a huge number of needless deaths.

Lead by the Tory press, we now have some of the worst mixed messaging seen from the bumbling, bungling government.

Once again, "following the science" is just a lie and applicable only when it suits their own agenda.

Instead of a message of minimal contact and mixing, the country was "set up" to have 3 households mixing for up to 5 days and now they are trying to reign this in when plans have been made.

I live the bit where he suggested that people isolated before meeting up with people at Xmas

Yet that did not lead him to think schools should go online for a week when that is the key area for the spread of Covid in many areas such as Islington and Greenwich. !

I liked Proff Whitty likening meeting for 5 days over christmas to driving 70 miles an hour down an icy road, both technically legal but a terrible idea.

Agreed.
Right now, "we" are about to throw petrol on the Covid fire.
All of the sacrifices made through the year and the lives that have been lost, businesses gone to the wall and all for a few slices of dry turkey ??
In a long list of mistakes, this looks like being the most damaging.

We're supposed to be just few months away form the most vulnerable being vaccinated, Although, once again, this promise looks very, very optimistic.

Although he is now trying to suggest that the 3 household rule was always designed to be a maximum number, this is the complete opposite of how Covid Christmas was sold.

Hey have also announced today that schools and school years will have a staggered start in January which is very sensible

This will be supported by mass testing of pupils in school administered by schools themselves.

It is a pity they announce this 24 hours before schools break up leaving no time whatsoever to plan and out things in place before January. Apparently schools have to train up there own volunteers to undertake the tests.

mickey up and brewery definitely come to mind

Boris & Co love a grand headline but, they have no bloody idea to carry out their plans effectively.
There will be lots of people getting a "gift" that they dont want this Christmas and for what ??

Tuesday 15th December Tories say schools cannot close early and teach on line before Xmas . Children attending school is vital we will take schools to court if you close early to teach pupils on line

Thursday. 17th December all schools should stagger returns and teach children on line in January it is vital that schools do not all go back together to avoid spikes in Covid.
