Really surprised that one of our resident morality guardians hasn't started a thread about Margaret Ferrier yet. No I'm not, she's not a Conservative.

She should probably resign.
But she's not a front-bencher, she's not in power, she's not the one setting and then flouting the rules.

I thought the Snp were in power in Scotland? So she DOES help set the rules. I was hoping to point out the hypocrisy of people such as yourself but you've managed that all on your own

FFS learn some basics about how government works.
This is an SNP Member of Parliament.
If it was an SNP Member of the Scottish Parliament then you may have a point, especially if they were a front bencher.

It really doesn't take much to get people on the right of politics to want to be victims. They have all the power, they control the press, their voters are more likely to be male and white - the people who have controlled the power in this country forever. But nope, it's them who are oppressed. Give it a break.

First of all thanks for educating me on the workings of the Scottish Parliament, I was genuinely ignorant of how it works. I am not playing the victim just pointing out how hypocritical you are being in your reaction to her irresponsible behaviour contrasted with.. Oh let me think... say Dominic Cummings. As far as I know he travelled in his own car and didn't have covid19.
However this MP KNEW she had it and then travelled 500 miles on public transport, as well as going to work in the commons.
Why bring race and gender into the argument, its irrelevant. Are you saying women and ethnic minorities should have special dispensation from the rules the rest of us have to follow?

Yes, she should resign, no if's, but's or maybe's.
It's such a clear and obvious breach that she ought to go.

Mind you, so was Cummings' and he's still pulling Boris's strings

Should we mention Johnson senior :wink:

The whole point is that the ruling classes please themselves and although it would be wholly wrong for them to do so, you cant really berate the masses for pleasing themselves too.

Had Bojo had 7 guests over to lunch, there would have been a 3000 page thread from the usual Wakefield suspects.

Couldn't care less who does what, now. They know the rules, it's up to individuals to follow them. Although I believe Cummings set the tone when he went on his little jaunt. If those making the rules fail to abide by them, why should anyone else?
