Do people really think she'd make a good Home Secretary, should the unthinkable happen and the hard left Labour win an election?

Apparently it's Javid's fault that the ISI bride's child died.

I agree, we should let her back (Begum), then put her in the Tower as a traitor.

Objectively as a liberal, remoaner, snowflake I'd say I don't rate her very much at all. So for none of the reasons you think she should not be Home secretary, I agree.

I can't see that she'd be any worse than some of the recent crop - May, Johnson, Rudd and Javid; it's one of the highest offices in the land, and seems to have been occupied by a series of incompetents and racists in recent years.

I like Diane Abbot, for many reasons, but I don't think she'd get a fair crack - she receives more than 50% of all online abuse aimed at female MP's, and the establishment happily joins in, a la Question Time recently, when Fiona Bruce encouraged a pile-on in during the audience warm-up; so I can't see how she would ever be allowed to perform in such a high office without a constant barrage of abuse and criticism, whether justified or not.

I have no clue what you're on about with your other incoherent ranting - unless we've reinstated throwing people in the Tower of London and I just missed that news.

she's a terrorist apologist, but I guess that's why Corbyn likes her.

I'll ignore your attempted insult.

Yes of course - I forgot about that; scratch everything I said, and down with that sort of thing.

Careful now.

Diane Abbott is mainly targeted for criticism and abuse as she is female and she is black.

I’m sure people will reply saying this is a load of rubbish, but just look at Secretary of State for Transport, Chris Grayling. He has held various ministerial positions both in government and in the shadow cabinet. He must be the most incompetent minister of all time, yet he gets very little criticism or abuse as he is white and male.

If you object to my first paragraph, can you please explain why Chris Grayling doesn’t get anywhere near the attention Diane Abbott gets?

I can only speak for myself, but I criticise Diane Abbott because she is thick and incapable, traits which she shares with Mr Grayling.

Born to working class parents she subsequently went on to study at Cambridge. Not bad for somebody you consider to be thick.

I have to preface this with me being just about as liberal man as you can hope to meet, free of all the baggage of racial unease and misogyny. But there is a pervasive sense from Abbot of someone being thick. I am absolutely certain that her race and gender is the subliminal cause why people on the right so frequently dismiss her, but I'm the polar opposite of that and still find her largely inept whenever she speaks.

Sort of feels like the left wing version of Nadine Dorries
