President is a purely ceremonial position. He will have no major input into decisionmaking. He is simply building his CV.

In any case after Leigh is thoroughly walloped by Toronto Wolfpack, and perhaps even by Toulouse, any RFL interest in having Leigh in Super League again for a single futile year will have been fully extirpated.

Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Another intellectually brilliant reply from Sefton Street, Leigh.

You are going to look rather silly if we thrash both of them.

Not long to wait, Toronto - 4th Feb

I'm a fan of Burnham, seems like a good guy, glad to have him involved.

He deserves a lot of resepect for his work on Hillsbrough. Whilst he may have been hecked into it by the Kop, he is still the one politician that really pushed that issue.

A Scouser that is the Mayor of a city with no team & has a hatred for London. Should be good for the game

Derek at Leigh will be happy. As will Brian the other scouser in the organisation.
