From what I can remember is, the N.H.S is in crisis, bookmarked with Aretha Franklin has retired! Don't get me wrong, I understand the news has to end on a high, otherwise many more people would be suicidal. But if Aretha Franklin retiring is as good as it gets, it's not good. (T.B.H. I wouldn't have put a bet on either way, to whether she was alive or dead.) SHOCK HORROR the N.H.S. is in crisis - under a Tory Government an'all. If the people who used the N.H.S. realised this, they would always vote Labour, do they really think the Conservative Politicians & the wealthy backers use the damn thing? And before you start, the Labour Politicians will probably go private too, but at least they chucked more money at it. Stop Smoking, Stop Drinking, Eat Healthy, Exercise More. You'll live long enough to spend six hours in a hospital corridor. |

Shock horror, it's the Tories fault, not the years of Noo Labour wasting money, illegal wars, fighter planes that cant, errm, fight, spending millions in europe and across the world instead of looking closer at home. Yep, all the Tories fault |

NHS spending went up under Labour - it has gone down under the Coalition/Tories, as has Social Care funding, which adds pressure to A&E and other arms of the NHS; and lo and behold, we have a major crisis in the service. It's hardly rocket science... Cue the demonization of Junior Dr's, NHS Managers, immigrants - anything to deflect from the fact that the NHS is being deliberately undermined to prepare it for the big privatisation rescue package. |

Yep, all the Tories fault Where did I say it was all the Tories fault, I was referring to the N.H.S. But why not blame everything on Labour, they have been in power for thirty odd percent of the last forty years after all. |

Perhaps it's time that the Tories stopped trying to work out how to give the better off in society tax cuts and did something that the LibDems (remember them) have been advocating for a while, put 2p on income tax to directly increase Health/Welfare spending. It's no coincidence that having had 8 ? years of austerity cuts, there is now mounting pressure on the NHS. Although some of the wealthy members of the population with their additional health insurance may not need the NHS as much, there is no doubt that the rest of us most definitely do. The smoke screen of "health tourists" and people going to A & E when the should have gone to their GP, is just an utter myth. These things have gone one for ever, just like hoax calls to 999 and the rest. The bottom line is that for the service that we all want, there is not enough being spent. Somebody with the ability to change things needs to grow some b*lls and be brave enough to admit that additional revenue is needed. It can be gleaned through income tax or N.I. Simple. |
