It's a useful website, particularly if something that interests you is going on in Parliament. And contrary to popular opinion, I think most MPs are actually pretty hard working. £60k (or so) is a fairly modest salary in return for the scrutiny they are under and the abuse they receive. A fairly junior person working in law / accountancy / banking in the City will earn more. Ok, there are some good benefits and perks, but unless you have a safe-seat it's a 5 year gig. |

Having followed the career of my current MP for two terms I'd agree with the above - fortunately he is one of the enlightened ones who tweets and FB's his every working day - and its often a seven day week. |
