The Rentier class will do anything to keep the downtrodden, debt ridden tenants in their place. When an MP does this, they show complete and utter contempt for the democratic process. Is it any wonder people are turning away from the mainstream parties in droves?

The main question should be, if the MP for Shipley already has his own flat in London which he rents out, then why does he claim expenses for renting a second residence for himself - because he is allowed to is the answer.

London is particularly bad. Vast swathes of property owned by 'buy to let' landlords who are charging £700 a month + bills to live in a 5 bedroom house-share in Clapham.
The property market in this country is screwed, and for most people under 30 home ownership is dream that is unlikely to ever be realised until an elderly relative pegs it.

Even after a relative dies, death tax will most likely swallow up most of the inheritance money and the under 30's will be left with little to invest in a house.

You're safe Damo, there are no houses around your way that will attract inheritance tax.

Apparently they are looking into allowing Tesco to carry out minor operations for the NHS, but the sticking point is whether you will get clubcard points should you die during the procedure.

Pfft. It'd never work. Everyone would delay their operations until it was the clubcard double points period.
