Interestingly I've read that if you manage to survive being stoned you are free to go. (That could have been in Saudi rather than Iran though).

It would depend if it's a high velocity
drop whereupon the poor unfortunate has every chance of being decapitated.
Always a bit more Hollywood when the head departs the torso.
Personally I miss the crucifixion method, they need to bring that one back.
Spartacus was so brave looking down upon his newborn, although that son of god did thoroughly deserve it for being such a prodigious fibber.
