I loved Souli Roots song.

It was like Polly Styrene crossed with Desmond Decker.

The song starts at 1.30.
Louies comments at the end are quite illuminating

No hoper wannabe comes on singing so called reggae, and the argument for putting her through is "reggae is big, just look at Bob Marley".

Why doesn't she take up sprinting because hey you might write her off but look at Usain Bolt you wouldn't write him off now would you.

She is just an interest piece, a bit of theatre.
She won't be around when the real singing starts.
If it does.
lol

Of course she cannot sing. But what a great personality. She would be a real laugh on a night out.

I beg to differ, she has the sort of "personality" that would start to annoy me after five minutes - after ten I'd be looking for a taxi to take me somewhere far enough away from her so that I couldn't hear her anymore, it would be a long expensive taxi ride I know but worth it.

On the show itself, last nights little drama with the girl who Sharon Osbourne sacked six years ago being asked to sing a different song to the crap she'd "chosen" was the well rehearsed "peril" format that is used a couple of times in each season of X Factor, the comment from Gary Barlow that he was worried that she was making these sorts of decisions at this stage of the contest was complete hogwash and had me shouting at the TV "Thats what a manager is for you dipstick, she needs mentoring, thats why she's here", he surely knew that didn't he ?

There are however two surprisingly good male trio's in the competition so far each of which have been unable to secure recording contracts, which tells you everything you need to know...

I'll take your word on that, because you've summed up a major reason why I refuse to watch this sort of dross.

"You are working for Satan." Kirkstaller

"Dare to know!" Immanuel Kant

"Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive" Elbert Hubbard

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde

The Voluptuous Manifesto – thoughts on all sorts of stuff.

Dross = A solid form.
Slag = A liquid form.
Simon Cowell = A solid slag form.

she is this years comedic entrant, who will get through to the live shows so they can have weeks of faux controversy and arguments between Gary Barlow and whichever of Louis or Sharon is her mentor.

She is just following the time honoured footsteps of Chico, Rylan, Jedward, and the weird sister and brother combo from a few years ago.
