What has happened today (I've not seen the news)? Is it as it seems - the police have acted in a heavy handed way on the off-chance there may be a non-peaceful future protest? I thought our politicans cheris our right to peaceful protest? Does that not extend to prospective / possible peaceful protest? Did they KNOW there would be a non-peaceful protest?
