Before I kill my laptop someone please help!

Trying to download iTunes, says it is downloaded and have "iTunes64Setup_exe" with a file size of 86MB on desktop but this seems to have no file type? When I click to open it asks me what program I want to run this with and can't get any further.......

Oh I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium if that helps anyone. Need to get iTunes up and running ASAP.

Desperate for some straight forward advice! :-)

Have you got the right version? From that name it's the 64 bit version. Is your laptop on a 64 bit operating system?

If you have got a 64bit version, change the name to .exe rather than _exe perhaps?

If you get it from the official site http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/download/ it downloads as an .exe file. You might just have filetype set to not display. If your system is not 64 bit there's your problem, you should be using the 32 bit version from here: http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/affiliates/download/
