At least he apologised to the Hillsborough families when he finally had nowhere else left to run.
Was against sanctioning SA and it's disgusting apartheid regime. Voted to reintroduce the death penalty, and supported Section 28.

Apparently on the right of the conservative party.

Well blow me.

I'm shocked he was nnly 83, and not pre-historic.

Bit needless this IMO. Whatever he did regarding Hillsborough, he certainly didn't cause it.

A political dinosaur, probably best left in the past.

Looking on the bright side, at least Sheffield-Hallam still have a right-wing conservative as their constituencey MP.
