Listening to them sing they should have copied Madonna and mimed. They might have been found not guilty.

You obviously never heard early punk in this country then and your knowledge of Russian must be pretty good to be able to diss the lyrics.

Heard plenty mate and watched loads live. This lot is contrived fashionist punk, 30 odd years after the event.

If not I am surprised and disappointed that this is the reaction.

It's a fundamental question of human rights.

Their conviction is a massive setback for democracy in Russia.

There'd have to be democracy in Russia to start with.

Pride marches also banned for a century.

Still, the nutters at Christian Voice are apparently happy with the verdict.

You try visiting a mosque next Friday and in the middle of prayers, sing "Allah is a c**t", then you'll soon find out just how free and democratic this country is too

I'm not condoning or condemning but the same thing happens over here all the time. Charlie Gilmour got 18mnths for something that would probably have got him an on the spot fine, had there been no political connection.
