In a move which will no doubt prove a rick vein of material for UK comedians, Egypt’s new Islamist-dominated parliament is apparently preparing to introduce a controversial law that would allow husbands to have sex with their deceased wives up to six hours after death

I see from someone online that the 'farewell' part of this is not actually true – but the stuff about lowering the age of marriage to 14 is.

But those Egyptians do have the finger on the pulse of the REAL issues that should be at the top of the agenda though:

I remember thinking at the time that all the celebrating about the 'Arab Spring' was possibly a tad premature.
