"A Tale From Knowsley Road" is actually the title of chapter number two in a novel that I am half way through writing. It is set in the fictional town of Ashurst which is 'near' to Leigh, St Helens, Warrington, Widnes and Wigan during the 2002 and 2003 seasons and follows on from my other novels One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn. It does not yet have a title (suggestions welcome) but many of the chapters do. They include The Girl From Wrexham, The Jehovah's Widnes, Billinge Rules, Going To Old Trafford, The Bolton Wanderer, A Wasted Day On The M62, The Yorkshireman's Party, That Idiot From Wages and God Is A Woman. Dally, To your question about whether there is a particular theme to the story the answer lies in the background to each novel in this linked series. With 'One Winter' and 'One Spring' it is romance, rock 'n' roll and rugby league, with 'One Summer' it is romance, redundancy and rugby league' and with 'One Autumn it is 'work, family life and rugby league." With novel number five I have not yet decided. The background might be something like "Global warming, world bank crisis starts with collapse of the Ashurst branch of Northern Rock, The Moderators' Revenge, Work, Family Life, Dementia and Rugby Union". But then maybe not!

Not alot to go on there. If you provide more information in due course I'm sure someone will come up with something.
Basod on the limited info.to date and following on from your "One ....[season of year]" theme, how about "Two Seasons"? That seems to fit with the 2002 and 2003 RL seasons background.

if there are any women with loose morals in the book, you could call it "Ho' Seasons"
