I detest the woman, but I was actually quite shocked both at the blatant casual racism, and the lack of wit, to tweet something so obviously wrong to the wide world.

She's a full-weight sanctimonious, hypocritical 2@. I was more surprised she attempted the "out of context" excuse. How are things taken out of context on twitter, given the paucity of available characters? If I was to have a conversation with someone, the last medium I'd use would be twitter.

She should go forthwith. This is blatant racism and from an MP of a so called egalitarian party. If she stays it shows the abject hypocrisy of Labour and indeed the bias of Race Relations legislation. So, she should go or Race Relations legislation should be removed from the statute book. Are the police to investigate?

Unlike Clarkson, there is no 'context' defence. It's an insult to the intelligence. A combination of being too stupid not to make such a howler, and again allowing a sighting of a huge shoulder chip. Comparable in many ways with her previous gaffes on Finnish nurses and West Indian mothers.
