Last night in a moment of madness I put on a girls jumper kindly donated by the occupiers at occupy Leeds. The reason why I needed a jumper is because I was wearing a very thin layer of fancy dress with nothing else underneath it. Anyhow I was there for about two hours and had a drink.
I’m home now but my throat feels really weird. Is it strain from that tight jumper I’ve been wearing?
I’m struggling to even down my favourite can of fizzy pop. It’s not a life or death situation (yet) but it’ll be nice to know if my throat will ever function better again. I normally worry my mate who’s a doctor with these kind of things but I’ve lost my phone and he’s offline!

I don’t think it’ll get that bad. It’s just a small concern that’s all. I’m going to Google possible causes now. If it’s still this bad by Monday morning then it’s a visit to my local GP.

You are probably suffering from Hashimoto's thyroiditis, especially given the evidence of some symptoms that have presented themselves on here in the past, and your "feeling the cold" last night:
Symptoms of Hashimoto's thyroiditis include Myxedematous psychosis, weight gain, depression, mania, sensitivity to heat and cold, paresthesia, fatigue, panic attacks, bradycardia, tachycardia, high cholesterol, reactive hypoglycemia, constipation, migraines, muscle weakness, cramps, memory loss, infertility, and hair loss.

The older I get, the better I was

Thanks for that information!
I'll probably try to get a proper diagnoses Monday morning.

Might be Quinsey, I had it the other year and it was paniful, couldn't even swallow my own spit as it felt like Bruce Lee was punching me in the throat every time, it's an abcess on the tonsils and hurts like hell.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
