Given we have so few police on the streets would this event be anymore of a deterent than normal? Perhaps the canteens in police HQ's might suffer?

OTOH the extra pay the police and security forces receive will be spent and thus help stimulate the economy, and it must also be good for business for shops along the route, hotels, undertakers, (well, one!) etc.

I thought the funeral was beautiful. And it was great that with the exception of a pratt who threw something at the horses and a couple of boos, the crowd was very supportive so we looked dignified to the rest of the world. Thankfully the idiots were all mouth and no action.
