Avoid the Playbook, it's been crippled from the start by lack of email without having a BB phone, the list of apps is tiny when compared to iOS and Android and with RIM being in danger of going titsup (or worse being bought by Microsoft) things are not looking good.

But if what you say about Blackberry is right, warranty won't mean much anyway. And I only put the idea out there as the OP actually has a Blackberry so could use it the way it was intended for emails etc. Can still just use email through it's browser too can't you?
It was just a suggetion as it was a reasonably cheap option and IMO a better solution due to siding more on the browsing/blogging aspect rather than an out and out phone.

New contract time and so I need my regular advice...
Reliability has to be paramount, I'd like to avoid iPhones if possible, I prefer keypads though they're not a necessity, a reasonable quality camera is useful too. I need to be able to set up multiple email accounts, access FB and the web easily. From what I've read, Android seems to be the OS to go for? How are Blackberry's these days? I'm currently running a Nokia E72, and am happy with that if nothing matches my needs.

Quick question folks.
I got a docking station for my Iphone 4s for christmas for my bedside cabinet as I wanted something to charge my phone because the mains are at the other side of the room. I was wondering if I left the phone on charge throughout the night and once it's fully charged. Leaving it plugged in will it damage my battery, like it does when leaving a laptop plugged in all the time?

Ah see that is your bargaining power with the networks gone, the ability to switch gives you the edge. Mind in saying that they have improved their phone selection somewhat.
Sadly there are no decent phones with keypads any more, any phone in their contract smartphone section will do what you want. Standout deals to me are the HTC Sensation and the iPhone3GS, the Samsung Galaxy S II is a touch expensive for me.
