Not meant as an attack, Standee, but is can seem that your attitude toward 'the poor' (for want of a better phrase) is comparable to that Victorian attitude, although don't worry – I have no concern that you believe that poverty is an outcome of a sinful life.
But why would you be so condemnatory of attempts to decrease inequality? And we know, for instance, that moves toward increasingly laissez faire capitalism (deregulation etc) don't do that – 'trickle down' never has worked and doesn't now.
So unless you genuinely believe that the poor should just be poor – regardless of whether that allows them to live a basically decent life or not – what would you do?
And if you don't believe in doing anything, then how do you think that impacts on society as a whole?
