Never mind the potential for causing stress to the sick patient and their baby, what about the nurses they placed in an impossible situation? Perhaps they might have considered these things for a moment?
You must've listened to a whole different "prank call" to the one I heard being broadcast

What a massive over reaction. How were they to know that the person answering the phone apparently didn't have English as their first language? Also, this nurse did not give any information out, that was someone else. In the clip I heard they did not sound patronising or bullying at all (of course you may think that the Queen sounds patronising and bullying), not funny I'll give you.
I'm not Jesus Christ, I've come to accept that now.

What was funny was the ridiculousness of it all. The two Aussies using the most ridiculous impersonation of the queen, them laughing at each other that they got through, them taking the mickey out of the establishment, them taking the mickey out of the press for conflating such a non story. All those things had comedic merit to them whether youy like it or not is irrelevant. Those in authority are a legitimate target to poke fun at.
All this crap about targeting an bullying the nurse is ridiculous.
And as for Cronus saying most people did not find it funny does that really surprise when you look at British media sites to find British people dont like johhny Foreigner taking the mickey out of a British monarchy. That is because the monarchy are set up as being above us. I see you have already fallen for the poor saintly little Kate.
No doubt you have her picture sat next to your one of Saint Diana.

Just sounds like you found it funny because you're anti-Royal tbh!
As it happens i found the whole thing was weird and painful to listen to.

You're confusing 'ridiculous' with 'squirmingly awful'. It wasn't funny or ridiculous, it was car crash radio, awful from the outset, schoolyard 'humour' ill-conceived and ill-advised. There was no 'comedy' as far as I could tell.
I agree those in authority are legitimate targets of fun, but really, you call someone in the middle of the night in hospital, in the delicate early stages of pregnancy when you know she has a serious condition? You can't see how inappropriate and over the line that is, even through your anti-royal specs?
And I'm dismayed that you found the discomfort of the nurses 'comedic'. You can hear the panic in their voices - "Sh*t, is that really the Queen, do I dare challenge her? Do I hell. Sh*t, what do I do? Sh*t." As it happens that has backfired in the worst possible way, but you carry on ridiculing them, it clearly gives you a hard-on.

Waaaaay wide of the mark. Making things up to support your argument again?
I'm not hugely 'pro'-royal, neither am I anti-royal. They exist and they're part of our nation. Couldn't care less for Diana, I know a few people who knew her personally, including a few Horseguards who definitely knew her personally. Wills & Kate seem decent enough and the majority of intelligent people can see past Kate's status when she's pregnant and fairly seriously ill.
And your excuse for people not finding the 'prank' funny is because it wuz forenners wot dun it? What about the hundreds of comments from Australians and other nationalities condemning the call. What's their reason? Methinks you're drowning lad.

You miss the point - If they had somehow got through to somebody of authority, or even managed to get through to William or Kate, then there would have been the potential for some real humour, but simply putting on supposedly funny voices and talking to two lowly nurses really isn't cutting edge comedy.

And who are people on a message board to decide upon her cause of death?! This whole thread doesn't sit right with me. There's some weird folk who go to the rugby.

Thanks.
You've just answered your own question. This sort of stuff is infantilised bølløcks.

Darling, I can "write off" the entire tabloid section of the UK press, plus much of the rest of it, plus all the 'reality TV', plus lots of other stuff. I wish I could be a right-on as you.
But, much more generally, I repeat what I said much earlier: we do not, as yet, know what caused her to end her life (and probably never will, fully). There may have been other factors that were involved. Possibly not. Possibly. So just keep polishing the cyber pitchforks.
