Hopefully we all will, though of course we don't know to what degree yet, do we. A few weeks? Months? A year? Not at all? Let's fcking hope some period of immunity plays at least a small part or we're really in the crap.
Of course from up there on your high horse the view with hindsight must be marvellous.

Wake up? A month ago someone who actually knows what they're talking about (Stephen Powis, medical director, NHS England) gave a very ill-advised quote of 20,000 as a good result. At the time that didn't seem unreasonable, although upper, worst case, estimates were up to 500,000.
Since than we've all watched the global numbers and it's been patently clear for quite some time we would exceed 20,000 as the situation developed. Of course you've just been waiting for the moment so you could post a smug comment on here...so congratulations, you got your moment. What an odious individual.

So the best way to deal with it is to make up some headlines from a fantasy world? We've already had enough lies from the fantasy world thank you. We just want someone to supply PPE to the NHS and an end to the ridiculous promises like this: https://www.ft.com/content/fce110fc-6ea ... bea055720b but it just keeps carrying on and on

*Edit*: in fact I'll expand on that reaction. You don't even realise by posting that comment you are validating my extremely tongue-in-cheek (but clearly fairly accurate) post. I made it patently clear that I picked it up on social media and added a few lines, and one would presume that any rational person wouldn't therefore take it too seriously, even if it hits a nerve.
And you come back with "SO THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH IT IS TO MAKE UP SOME HEADLINES FROM A FANTASY WORLD?"
Are you Kathy Newman/Laura Kuenssberg/Kay Burley in disguise? You trot out a line that entirely proves the point being made. Kathy Newman's nonsensical triggered "so you're saying..." interventions are famous, so you never know...
To be fair, you're not the only one. A couple of other intellectually challenged lefty loons took the bait.
To be clear, in case you're still confused, the answer is no. No, the best way to deal with it is not to make up some headlines from a fantasy world. Not that in fact my fabricated headlines have any affect "dealing with it" given I'm not a scientist or medical expert or government adviser or doctor or nurse, so my fabricated headlines are clearly utterly irrelevant, but they still did the satisfying job of triggering the sort of idiotic left wing reaction the left wing can't help but serve up. No, the best way to deal with "it" it to let the geniuses and NHS do what they do and find a way to stop a lot of us dying, ideally before we are destroyed economically.
