Mass Effect 3, like all the series, clearly was a 10/10 game. No need for favours there at all, one of the best games I've played in years, despite the controversy over the ending. Poor EA games, like Medal of Honor and Army of Two get poor scores, quality games like FIFA and Mass Effect get good scores. There is no conspiracy, it's not like the days off official magazines giving their games 10/10 even if they were awful.

Magazines and online gaming sites will not give scores significantly warped by big games companies as they would get destroyed by their readers and they would go elsewhere for their reviews.

Rubbish. I've completed ME 1 & 2 and neither are the pinnacle of gaming. A generous review would be 8/10

I'd give them both 7

Something like Demon's Souls makes them both look average at best

ME1 i'd give a good solid 9, loses a point for the boring and pointless planet 'exploration'. Mass Effect 3... well... i'd have given it an 8 at best, turned a great RPG into an action duck-n-cover shooter with the occasional RPG element.

Demon Souls.. too difficult but a good game

All Mass Effects, like Halo are dull affairs. They offer nothing in terms of replay factor, which Borderlands, Fallout, Skyrim have.

Borderlands 2 is excellent.

Mass Effect has replay value, Halo doesn't though

ME3 is not a 10/10 game. That suggests it is nigh on perfection, which ME3 clearly isn't.

From what I have seen from Borderlands it is just a loot game, like Diablo. Go here shoot some bad guys, get loot, repeat. Suppose it has the FPS thing going for it so instead of just hitting the mouse button, you have to do other stuff but it is a really boring genre IMO.

ME on the other hand represents one of the finest pieces of story telling (ending apart), ok the action might be average but it is playable and the other stuff more than makes up for it. Although it is no Deadly Premonition

Nigh on perfection? No, it just means it's an outstanding game. Can you even name one game that can hold a candle to it? I'm struggling, it's a fantastic series.
