The Tories are in till the next election which isn't for another year or two or three, so if by your schoolboy logic they are screwed then how are things glorious for the general public including your family presuming you haven't changed your opinion again.

The rumour is that they (the Tories) will select a single candidate to run as next PM, therefore negating the need for their members to vote.

It's strange that, Sunak said that, if she (Truss) went down the route of tax cutting, it would be a total disaster and he was absolutely right.
It seems utterly ridiculous that, we have the Bank of England putting up interest rates to try and cool inflation and The Tories cutting taxes to try and stoke some growth.
Rather strange, to say the least.
You have to feel a little sorry for Kwarteng, sacked for doing what his boss told him to do. Maybe a case for unfair dismissal ?

If the markets continue to fall after the sacking of the Chancellor, surely, she will have to resign ?
