I announced my arrival on the stage by shouting ‘hey up Yorkshire’. It broke the ice and laid the platform for what some considered the best speech of the night. I had several cheers throughout my speech which means I must have said something amazing. That or someone was pulling funny faces behind my back. I guess it was the former rather than the latter.
I met my future business partner and shall be meeting her again on Wednesday to discuss things further. So all is good!

Thanks for the interest and help!
Feel more confident now ?
Just bear in mind that it won't work on all audiences, your bank manager won't be all that impressed if you kick his door open and yell "Ey up Yorkshire" at him, but well done anyway.

Sounds like it went well young Damo. Well done! From what you have said of late you have done some good and difficult things. Keep up the momentum and I believe you can go far.

A quick search threw up a few results...I wasn't going to embarrass Damo until I came across Out-of-work Leeds man aims to help others. Sounds like you're doing good stuff Damo, hopefully it will lead somewhere.
Also, look up "Future Arts Interview on BBC Radio Leeds" on YerTube. There's nowt on the official Future Arts Leeds Channel yet.

I’m feeling a lot more confident thanks!
I’ll just have to find a bank manager who has no airs or graces. Same goes for audiences.

Thanks mate!
I’ll be meeting up with my business/everything else partner tonight to discuss how to take things further than ever before. I nearly gave my best idea away but kept it all for myself. It’ll be insane if it works off.

I don’t know when the video of the event is going on Youtube. I’ll let you know if it comes on.

At least he has got off his @rse and got involved ... that's good. He's learning and adding to his experience. Eventually he will find gainful employment. Good luck Damo.
