The only benefit I can see really is it gives a little bit of exposure to the game. For example somebody who follows Labour and Burnham very closely or a Royalist following Harry, might think what is this Rugby League they are tweeting about or attending and give a game a watch. Exposing more people to RL can only be a good thing.
If Prince Harry did ever attend a game, plenty of “newspapers” would be happy to take his picture and put it in there rag.

I still see people going about how crap it is in comparison to "years" ago, like how Britain was so good "years" ago.
The sport is great, I have loved even the past few years, the world cup was a bit of a saviour this year but certainly these past 2 years have been great.
Getting these big names involved is superb, and I think it will only help the sport kick on.

Hi Wildthing.
Merry Christmas and all the best for a happy, healthy New Year.
Forgive this sheltered Leyther, but what's a WUM? If it's bad, I hope I'm not being classed as one? My posts here were to merely defend Andy Burnham, who is a passionate RL person who would, I'm sure, seek every opportunity to promote the Sport. I guess some have seen him as one of a much hated breed - a Labour politician, and even worse, a Leigh fan!
I'm sure that, given a decent 'job spec', he will do the Greatest Game proud.
