Her legacy will be a country free of the likes of Arthur Scargill - that well known socialist who has recently been in court trying to ensure his "free" access to a flat in London - some socialist. The only thing that ever mattered to Arthur was Arthur and the power he could yield - pity all those lemmings that are now blasting Thatcher could see him for what he was - thankfully Thatcher had his measure big style.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

This would be a great Number one for Sunday night.
I would love to see the BBC ban it or fiddle the charts like they did with God Save the Queen.

#Thatcher dies for no1

Apparently Frankie Boyle is entertaining on twitter. If some one tweets it to him we could have a campaign

@mrmarksteel: What a terrible shame - that it wasn't 87 years earlier.

This.

Thatcher didn't have to be so brutal about it, but it was his greed and selfishness that provoked the reaction. Just a shame a lot of good, hard working communities had to go down with him.

A rather embarrasing thread with many people who should know better behaving in a child-like manner.

It takes a strange and depraved person to rejoice in the death of another human being.

He is partly correct - Heath had little option a combination of high oil prices and a work to rule from the miners left stocks short - the NUM wanted 40%+ IIRC and Heath offered 7%

She did - it was the only way to beat him - Arthur and Gormley were no less brutal in 72 and 74 - Arthur had it coming and he got it big time.

That would be a pretty p1sspoor legacy considering what she had to do to achieve it. She destroyed towns, villages and communities. She put in place blatantly homophobic legislation and fratenised with awful scumbags like Pinochet, racists like PW Botha, sent the SAS to train Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge, was involved in blatant corruption selling arms to Saudia Arabia, and the multitude of other things.

Yet all she achieved was getting rid of miner with a part-time degree from Leeds uni. Less round of applause, more scratch your head over how someone made such a clusterf'ck of it .

My only input onto this thread, and this forum: how many on here, dancing on Thatcher's corpse, were old enough to vote in 1979? And therefore, by definition, to appreciate the situation in this country when Thatcher was voted into office?

(I was 21, btw)
