I've had the carriage and crashing problem at home with Chrome too, you can't perform a carriage return without first typing something. Quite an odd bug.
However at work I use SRWare Iron instead, it's a pre-fork of Chrome (in other words it's Chrome but without Google) and it doesn't suffer any of these problems, you can get it here; you don't have to install it either.

following my love up last week, i've got a bluetooth dongle, and i've now had to replace pc suite with ovi suite, which for some reason, does sync wuth the messages on my phone, but the only option to copy them off is to sav them as a .csv file in a job lot, rahter than indiivudal messages,
and also it seems a bit hit n miss on which messages i can find and export.
This seems a with unwieldy a system to me, am i missing something or sis tehre an easier option with which to do this?
also seems a bit snarky, that if i then delte the message from my phone(having suppoedly backed it up on my pc) it'll remove it the next time it syncs.
I'll start by sayijng I know next to nothing about PC's
I have two problems 1) I did a disk clean-up yesterday and removed a load of temp files, items in the recycle bin etc. I also removed a program called AVG back up. When I went switched on the pC later it kept throwing up a box asking me did I want to connect to "Carbonite User Interface", no matter what I tried, it wouldn't let me connect to the internet, I assume because of one of the two above axctions. Any ideas? 2) For some time now, if I try to open any program, the PC hangs for around 30 - 45 seconds before opening it. Is there anything I can do the shorten the process?

Cheers.
Plus, you don't happen to know how to get my MacBook to start displaying what stickykeys are currently pressed down again do you? It stopped since I got Lion.
System Prefences says they are showing, but they aren't.
Sticky Keys appears to have sorted itself out, which is nice.
