You mean the opposition called for the resignation of a government minister? My goodness, whatever next?

Look - you can bluster away as much as you like. And I appreciate that you're just a 'comedy account' whose only role is 'hit back' against what you perceive as left wing bias on here. But the fact is that three out of 4 broadsheets - one of them a dyed-in-the-wool Tory supporter - failed to mention any of your key points.
Possibly you were too daft/gullible to check around before posting your oh-so-smug summary of the ST article, or maybe you deliberately went for the only one which backed up your own prejudices, but either way you've distorted the facts.

Because it's not as if the Murdoch press has an agenda against the police at all is it?

The story was also carried on the front page of the Sunday Times.
I seem to recall you were one of those who worked yourself into a lather on the original Mitchell thread. You were also banging on about the Osborne train ticket thingy long after both the train company and Downing Street had clarified the situation, and anyone with half a brain had decided it was a complete non story.
Really? So the original story said "The inquiry has exposed a complex operation to smear Mitchell with now 10 police officers allegedly involved from four police forces." did it? I highly doubt it, unless The Sunday Times are as stupid as you or the OP.
Worked into a lather? Do you work for the Mail too? You both have a penchant for distorting the truth and exaggerating things. All this guff about Mitchell coming out now is irrelevant to whether Mitchell should be in his job or not. He's admitted swearing at police, nothing afterwards has disproved the Police Log as much as Mitchell's rehab campaign might wish it had. That's why he had to resign.
By the way, have you managed to work out the difference between fact and opinion yet? You seemed to struggle on the Eastleigh thread and appear to still have that problem.

Labour were on it like a car bonnet. As were the Police Federation.

I refer you to the front page of yesterday's Sunday Times.

Its their job, in fact in opposition its the only job that a political party has.
I don't particularly like the way that the HoC works by attrition nor the way that career politicians these days have highly developed their sneering, bawling calls in what they laughingly call "debate", but there you are, its what we have for a parliament.
The first time anyone acted like that at a company production meeting or god forbid a board meeting then their next meeting would be at a disciplinary but our university produced politicians seem to think its normal to behave in a such a manner.
