1) You are using the most over-used, morally bankrupt get out clause ('he moves in mysterious ways') to excuse your 'God' torturing an innocent woman (and her husband) for seven years before killing her, or,
I gave a honest answer. It is not a get out clause, it is the truth. I said it was part of God's plan because that is what the Bible teaches.
I do not know why some people suffer more than others. I tried to be respectful because I know what it is like to lose someone so close.
Quote:2) You are a troll who is using the suffering of another human being to maintain the illusion of his persona.
I'm not here to cause controversy or upset.

For sensitively giving an honest response to a genuine question?

We all have to take responsibility for our sin. That is part of the judgement God has made on mankind. We know that death only entered the world when mankind decided to rebel and break God's commandments.
Now, I'm not saying that it was the lady's fault that she suffered so greatly, and I cannot tell you why supposedly good people are allowed to suffer more than evil people. I don't have all the answers but I trust that God knows best and has infinitely good reasons for working as he does.
Quote:Of course we all die, but your 'God' could choose to let us die peacefully in our old age having lived a full and happy life. Instead, he chooses to torture some of us for many years with the incurable diseases he invented, before letting them die prematurely and in pain. If such a 'God' exists, he's a b*stard, and so is anyone who excuses his evil acts.
We all deserve to die due to our rebellion. And actually, God is extremely patient with those whom he has predestined for Hell,
In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who are destined for destruction. He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory. Romans 9:22-23 (NLT)
Quote:Wow. How big of you. Bet he's thrilled. Though I reckon if 'God' was going to step in and help him, now would be a bit late in the game.
I'm doing this not to promote my own righteousness (I am a dastardly sinner), I am doing it out of love for my neighbour. IIRC Sanjunien has previously referred to his own lapsed Christian faith and I pray that he returns to Jesus.
