The state has grown to a level not seen since the 2nd World War, The Railways have almost been re nationalised and if only everyone had decent access to broadband.?
We've ended up with something even more left wing than Corbyn, it's just a pity that we have Boris "lying" Johnson "running" the country.
It's going to be interesting to see whether he would prefer to rigidly stick to the 21st June end date for all covid restrictions.
Other than the trains what else has gone into public ownership - and the trains still have private companies running them. Did we nationalise the post office, the utilities, the broadband providers - did I miss something?
I agree with you I can't see all restrictions going 21st June - too many Sage scientists making a concerted effort to derail it - started about two weeks ago. They will say until everyone over 18 has had 2 jabs and the 3 weeks and then it will be it Autumn so we need to be really careful - deaths last two days 1 hospitalisation 900!! Could be next June - the removal of the Furlough will be critical - then the poop will really hit the fan.
Sadly far more people will die because of non-Covid illnesses than Covid itself - because these "experts" are purely focused on one issue to the exclusion of all others. Some balance is required.
