Of course it was worth the cost. 1. Scumbag gone 2. Plenty of lawyers made plenty of money which will be spent to boost the economy 3. Much of it will have been legal aid so the spend will be re-invested as a big stick to beat the greedy legal aid lawyers with (The government's (much better paid) lawyers will all be lined up for nice gongs) 4. the case and the spend will be used as a justification for more laws curtailing the rights of future suspects.

Trebles all round in Whitehall, I'd say.

I'm also eager to hear the reasons he was granted asylum in the first place. Especially as that asylum was granted by then Home Secretary Michael Howard, advised by one David Cameron.

Stopping these type of people getting in is the most important thing, once they are here it seems that they are harder to get rid of than a dose of Herpes. The only winners are the lawyers (again).
