They aren't choosing to ignore god since they do not know he exists, they are only told about other gods. What happens to them? They might go through their entire life not knowing of the existence of the Christian God. If they don't know he exists how can they place their trust in them?
If they trust in God and recognise their shortcomings, the Bible indicates that God will treat them fairly.

They don't need to be told about God to know he exists.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

Romans 1:20
No that's "evidence" that a god exists, not the Christian God. If they've been told from early age it was a different god and not told anything about Christianity then they won't know the Christian God exists and will naturally believe that the earth was created by the different god. So how can they place their trust in a god they don't know exists?

1. Did He? Does Genesis really mean that?
2. If He did, did He not make man with the capacity to overcome such things? Perhaps if people like you concentrated on goodness rather than sniping we'd get to overcome our ills that much more quickly? Much easier to complain and mock than be humble, decent and altruistic, hey?

The 'Christian God' is not the 'Christian God', he is simply God.
Most major world religions mention God and Jesus in their teachings. For example, someone in a strict Islamic family in Pakistan will have heard about Jesus, and no doubt what Christians believe, but has chosen to reject it.
I feel sorry for such people but I can but share the good news.

Not to some Amazonian tribe or places that do not teach the major religions. What happens to these people? They have never been taught about God, they believe in a different God. How can they place their trust in a god they don't know exists?

If they place their faith in the one who created the world, I believe they will be treated justly. The Bible tells us that we have a creator and that creation is evident through the natural world.

Would you always take scripture over science?

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
