The Tories took a hamering (as was expected especially mid term) but as shown by this thread a lot of people are talking about that comment rather than some of the problems for the Tories.

She/Tory lawyers where quite clever to word it so she never actually said anything, other than here are 2 facts why not link them. That's why she repeated word for word when asked again

I fail to see how us laughing at the bumbling idiot can be classed as clever.
We now know that the Tories and Lib-Dem's are currently hated and the Tory co chairperson is clueless.
I doubt it's gunna help them win votes.
You say it was cleverly worded I tend to think she open her trap without thinking AGAIN I could see your point were it not for the point that she is well known for coming across as a rabid dog at times.

she has obviously been imparting her vast knowledge and experience of electoral victory to the rest of her party.

I think people are being unfairly harsh on Baroness Warsi.

She can be remarkably perceptive. Only a couple of weeks on Question Time, she advised us that we're living in a global world. Revelatory IMO.

From what I've heard, it kicked off when the result of the Newton ward became clear, and the Lib Dem deputy leader, Suzanne Knight would also lose her seat. One p*ss-taking quip at Spencer and off he went.

I'm so happy that Knight has lost her [previously rock-solid] seat. She was the Fib-Demmer leading that local party's opposition to the creation of 6,000+ jobs at the proposed giant rail-freight terminal on the derelict Parkside Colliery site, and who celebrated when the chance of economic regeneration for the area was eventually kyboshed.

Better to be laughing at a "Bumbling Idiot" than a failing party and out of touch leader, no?

True, I understand that, but from the Tory point of view it was worth the try, but like most things it failed and now has back fired

She isn't bright enough to be that clever.

In fact it isn't clever in itself anyway because her inference whether tactical or just stupid is a side issue that highlights her ineptitude.

If she actually thought a bit of deliberate controversy would take the heat away from the results then she is patronising as well as thick.
