the 60 is heavy, and if you're using an extra battery,grip or telephoto lens, it's incredibly heavy,
I'm renting one for next weekends trip back to Snowdon, BG said I should have gone for the 60 when I bought my 550, and in a lot of respects he is right, I'm giving it another 3 months and then going to the 1D.

using one of these yesterday, with a battery grip and sigma 50-500 telephoto, was like lugging one of my 10k dumbells around but a brilliant camera which gives brilliant results at any focal length and any subject. My Grandad, who wons the camera is a keen birdwatcher and loves it and I was taking photos of my young cousin riding his bike around and I got some very good results

Well that could be a issue, I like the a55 because as a SLT, it's small and light. Alot of time it will be used for video, which rules out the mk1 5D.
