There has certainly been a seismic shift in the club with arrival of Cartwright as HC. I feel the decisions by Rowley & Lam not to take on the role have been a blessing in disguise. So far from what seems to be transpiring in pre season is a club that is being lead both on & off the field in... |

In all seriousness though he definitely looks fitter and trimmer than I remember seeing him before, even after a full pre season. |

https://www.seriousaboutrl.com/inside-hull-fc-first-days-of-pre-season-as-john-cartwright-sets-early-tone-98917/ Definitely sounds like Cartwright has already sent the message of what is expected of them individually and collectively of pro players at the club and what expect if they don’t meet tho... |

Balmforth certainly looks to be in very good shape and has clearly put a lot of effort in to getting in better shape between the end of the season and start of pre season. Also looks like Adbul has done a lot of work on getting in to shape too so for me that looks to be a good omen in terms of attit... |

All in all whilst I think Walker is unfortunate I think the club are making the correct decision in terms of moving on all 3 of Smith, Tindall and Walker. Rapana has been brought in to be first choice FB and mentor to the likes of Moy and probably Litten too so it's unlikely Walker would get a chanc... |

More of the right sort of stuff from our new coach just in case anyone missed them, it looks like dan split his first interview over 3 articles. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/john-cartwright-sets-hull-fc-9681335 https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/hull-fc-season-... |

Think his community reference is to Penrith not Paramatta who are actually bitter derby rivals in the western Sydney area. Cartwright's nephew Bryce currently plays for Parra having started his career like his uncle at Penrith as did Jed Cartwright. I was a season ticket holder at Penrith from 2000... |

Three trails of thoughts from me: 1. If it is indeed Thirkill investing, maybe nothing could be said officially until his tenure as Leeds Club President was complete. Seeing as that ended yesterday, hopefully that means that there's nothing to stop any announcement today. 2. Wouldn't be at all surp... |

Also very interesting and heartening to hear the interviewer state that despite everything we have all had to endure in the last few seasons we are almost up to 6000 season ticket sales after just over a month of of release. We must still be up there with the most long suffering and loyal fans in t... |

For the record I wasn’t moaning, just thought the club would have been a little more pro active in terms of the new Coaches arrival given the poor season just gone, the overhaul and the timing of his arrival in terms of the first renewal deadline. Just watched the interview and like his ideology. Th... |
